Ok...seriously. I will start writing in this thing more often. Not like anyone reads it, but it is nice to have a nice recollection of the past.

First off....very saddened that Michael Jackson passed away. No other performer has ever had the impact on me both personally and artistically as MJ and the Beatles. You know why no one ever dares cover MJ songs? Cause it's impossible. No one can recreate the magic. I always remember as a kid, we used to scare Russ by playing the Thriller video. Then, one time, my cousins locked me and Russ in their room while Thriller was playing on the record player, and i freaked out. Captain Eo was the shit. My best friend as a kid Jon used to listen to all his sons all the time and of course, we would know all the times Michael made those "hee hee" or "Woo" noises. And yes, I did have the Red jacket. Remember on Thurs. nights after new episodes of the Simpsons when they would debut Michael's new videos and songs? So many good memories of songs that he created. He will truly be missed. Good thing i still have that Jacsons Playlist that i've had for 3 years now.

Secondly, people be having babies! Leanne had her daughter, Mikaylah Ashley, on May 7th. I visited her the next day. Mannix and Theresa had their baby Camille on June 11th. Marnie and Dhoy had Mason Conner on June 17th.

I attended Toni's baby shower. My cousin Leo got engaged to his GF Sondra while they were in Italy, then we had the engagement party at Huntington Beach. Played football there...i suck. My cousin Junior had his and his wife Nenette's baby shower on the 20th of June. It was fun. No poker for once, but a good time talking to my cousins.

For me? Lots of work. No real going out. Just go to a bar once in a while. No traveling, thanks to my whacked out Work schedule. But, i still have my job, a job which i love. Watched some movies. Transformers? Meh. No DVD buy. Hangover? Definite DVD buy. Star Trek? Definite DVD buy.

Let's see...i think that's about it. Planning on going to Vegas sometime soon, then also throwing a big bash for my b-day. Should be a fun rest of summer....holy hell...it's summer all ready? I could've sworn....man....years are going by way to god damn quickly.

My cousin Anne from Florida visited LA with her husband Greg. This was Greg's first visit to the left coast, and even though he didn't get to hang around much, he had a good time. My parents took them to Vegas, which is always more interesting than LA. They basically came as a stop over for their honeymoon. And Anne got to see her niece Lia, the first Great Grandchild from our Echavia Side.

Stef had her party at Falcon, it was fun. Did USC's PCN, and got paid pretty well.

Happy birthday everybody, cause there's like a million of you guys with April birthdays, but especially to the three of the most important women in my life, my mom, sister, Grandma and cousin Stef. Love you guys.

As long as I'm doing a quick update, I've been doing nothing but working and once in a while relaxing. Only movie i've seen this year so far has been Watchmen (awesome) but I've traveled to both Colorado and Arizona with AM570 for both hockey and Baseball. Not a bad gig. Also, got to hang out with my old bosses and Mike Tabuso in Arizona. No one to hang out with in Colorado.

We had a gift exchange a few months ago at the Leoncio place, and i thought it was awesome.

At Elbert's birthday, Albert and Chastity announced they were having a child. Pretty much everyone else has told me they were having a kid via facebook. Ah...technology.

January: First off-site Marketing event. Bee and Jay’s birthday at the Tapas (rhymes with Topless) bar in Studio City. Mayet’s wedding. The homies Christmas get together. Janel’s Birthday and the Fobby Cougars at BBG. Michelle’s Housewarming. Edren’s birthday Party at his place. Jet’s birthday party at his place.

Feb. Super Bowl at work. Pro Bowl in Hawaii, including all the drama that came with that trip. Cabana Club with Rachel and some homies. My sister calls me while I’m in Hawaii to tell me she’s pregnant. All Star game Pie Party (no…not that Pie) at my house. Axxess tour dominance. Went with Chris to check out CSUN’s PCN practice. It was weird not being a part of it.

Mar.- Mom and Dad’s anniversary. St. Patty’s drinking. DT Disney. Chris and Adrienne’s Baby Shower. Mike’s Bachelor Party. Nanay’s b-day.

Apr.- Dodger opening game. Mom and Dad Leave for Philippines. Adrienne and Chris have their Daughter Ava. Ava Leoncio’s Baptism. Dinner with the Sining Ginto peeps. Moonie’s b-day at Red Lion. Stef and my sister’s party at the house, followed by Bowling and then Karaoke. Crashing Bee’s wedding shower to watch the UFC fight. Nini and Luis’ wedding shower. First Dodger’s Stadium promo. Free food and drinks with Albert at the racetrack’s opening day. Laker Party at work.

May.- Helped Toni move. Avenger’s game. Korean BBQ and Karaoke with the SG fam. Weding rehearsal. Drinking at the revolving bar. MIKE AND BEE’S WEDDING…where I got totally trashed and looked like a moron on videotape. Yay me. Mom and Dad come home. Jenn and JP’s wedding. Luis’ Bachelor party and all the craziness there (boxing, paintball). Nini’s surprise party. Luis’ graduation. Mike U’s birthday at both the Italian joint and at DT Disney after the second avenger’s game, this time with Russ, Albert, and Dennis.

June.- Albert’s birthday in Marina Del Rey. LUIS AND NINI’S WEDDING! Kenny’s graduation and party. Father’s day. San Jose with the Rullamases, Lopezes and one Acosta. Lunch with my SJ cousins. Sweet’s b-day at J Lounge (the first time I would go there…wouldn’t be the last.) Tita Gene’s birthday.

July.- VEGAS!!! 4^th of July at my house. BBQ’s galore. San Diego for Marjorie’s fiancee’s birthday. Kriselle’s 18^th party, and me as the MC. Mannix’s birthday at Los Toros.

Aug. My birthday. Thanks everyone who showed up and everyone else for the well wishes. Orchid. J lounge for Jeff’s birthday, and also for Mark’s birthday. Trix and Xander’s American Wedding reception. Cheryl’s party at LAX.

Sept. My sister’s baby shower. Pam has her daughter. Anjo and Brigido’s birthday party at, where else, J Lounge. Anjo’s surprise get together at Huntington, followed immediately by Jamie’s surprise party at DT Disney. Dennis’ grad. Toni’s awesome birthday at Guy’s North, complete with my super throw up skills at Sanam.

Oct. MY NIECE LIA IS BORN! At the hospital for a long day. Luis and Nini’s baby shower. Doe’s semi-birthday dinner…first time kicking it with that guy in over a year. Halloween at Art’s. BG’s birthday party. Florida for my cousin Anne’s wedding. Orlando is ok. Auntie Lorna goes back home. Oktoberfest at Alpine Village.

Nov. Lots of Thanksgiving Celebrations. Football with the homies. Noah Sayo is born. My super close friend gets married and is Pregnant. Paintballing with the family.

Dec. Wicked! Holiday working and shopping. LAKER GAME IN THE HPC SUITE! Michelle’s surprise party at Disneyland. Lil James’ birthday. Ava’s birthday. Lee’s Wife arrives from the Philippines. The family Christmas party. The Big Family Christmas party. Open bar at cabana. Citywalk. Boom….2009.

As you can see…a pretty good year…not as mind blowingly awesome as 2007, but still a very good year. Lots of movies. Lots of coffee nights. Too much clubbing for my own good. But at the same time…some good weddings, some great babies, and of course, my very own niece was brought into this world. Congrats everyone who had a child, congrats everyone who got married.

R.I.P. everyone who left this year, especially my Ninang Dion.

2009…well…if they say what you do on the first of the year is what you do for the rest of the year…then I will be working. Great. Can’t complain though, cause at least I still have my job.

This year…lots of new members to my circle of friends, since Leanne, Nix, Moonie, my cousin Junior, and my other friend will all be having babies around May and June. Awesome…more baby showers. Hopefully, no more ninongship. JK…

Really...it's been a month since I last posted?

I’m trying not to make thius monthly, but damn If it aint’ hard to do this at work nowadays. So..i guess just a quick recap:

Pam had her baby. I’ve seen pictures.
My sister had her baby….shower. That was fun. Good seeing the homies all together. It has been way too long.
done a lot of drinking…way too much in fact.

only went clubbing once (Yay) but it was for Anjo and Brigido’s birthdays. At J Lounge. As usual. Fun though. Didn’t dance at all, unlike the last time we went. Ronald got kicked out for smoking on the dance floor, then got into a fight with some people outside. Man…he loves LA.

As I sit here on Labor Day, doing yet another promotion, I ponder about the last few weeks:

Basketball with the homies, which now includes our missing homie Joe, who’s been MIA for like forever. But if it’s basketball, he’s there.
Norm’s…where to go when Sanam makes you wanna puke.
J Lounge…two weeks in a row. Still a cool ass place to kick it.
Clubbing 4 weeks in a row…a new record, and a sad one to boot.
my cousin Jeff is a drinking legend. I’m not too far behind, but Russ is nowhere close.
RJ and Marianne went to J lounge with us for Mark’s birthday, which was awesome. As usual though, we were the first ones there.
Marisa is an awesome dance partner, only cause of her previous experience.
My cousin Mark’s birthday party for his daughter consisted of us gambling and getting faded. Now THAT’s a family party. And of course, there was the taco guy.
The Rullamases new place in Santa Clarita is really nice. Too bad Mark got stuck with the old house, which will consist of 8 people living in one house. It’s like a bad episode of the Real World. Kind of like, The Mad Real World.
Trixie and Xander had their American Wedding Reception, and that was fun. I believe, besides my sister’s wedding, this is probably the only other wedding where I knew damn near everyone, cause they are either my relatives (Trix used to live next door to my Auntie Fede, so she’s part of the Lakeview Terrace group) and of course, she is in the dance group, and then there’s the fact that Xander’s family went to my high school).
Man, I’ve been working a lot. I need a serious break.
Almost all of the guys will be out of town this weekend. Albert, Elbert, Chas and Steph will be in Europe, and the Rullamas clan will be in San Jose. Me? I’ll be working. Awesome.

Oh well.

Ok…let’s see…

So last Thurs., ended up going to my Auntie Fedy’s house right after work cause my parents called me and told me my cousin Junior finally brought his wife back from the Philippines. You guys know my cousin Junior…in fact, I was at his wedding…in the Philippines, a year and a half ago. So yeah, that’s how long it took to finally bring her over to America. Jeez. So that was fun. Got to hang with the family, talk shit about the other cousins, and then talk shit about the cousins who were there. Damn, Mark uses me as an excuse for everything. From there, me and Russ just ended up meeting Anjo, Mark and Dennis at CB.

Friday…just work, then after work, met up the guys (and man…there were a lot of us) to watch a movie, something we haven’t done in years. We all watched Tropic Thunder, which was pretty awesome. After the movie, some of us headed over to Dupar’s for some food and chilling.

Sat. me, Elbert and Albert went to Frank and Sons, and I bought a bunch of stupid shit, along with some cool shit, and then we went to Jollibee for brunch. From there, just Target hopping to find Mighty Muggs, then back home. Rested up, then we all met up to roll to LAX. My cousin Mark even came with us. We went for my homegirl Cheryl’s birthday, and we were actually the first people in line. Oh man. But it was fun. Met some random people, did some random stuff, and pretty much everyone but me and Albert was wasted. After the club, Sanam where I ran into my little cousin Joe. I would pick him up a few hours later because…

Sun…moving day…for my sister. With her about to have a baby, she and Joe (not my cousin, my B-I-L) decided to move closer to the valley, so I picked up my cousin Joe, then we met up at my sister’s place in San Pedro. Man…there was a lot of heavy shit. And we had to move a fridge, which sucked beyond all suckage. Moving the beds and heavy mattresses were no fun either. So, we packed up the U-Haul then headed over to Studio City, really close to where we were a few nights earlier, at Dupar’s. Nice place, but man, it was a bitch getting all the stuff in there. Finally, after hurting my back and being strained everywhere, I went home to rest before meeting up my family for dinner at the Universal Hilton, for a St. Gen’s thing, which of course meant RJ and Marianne would be there, along with my God Daughter Ava. Hung out with those guys, then headed over to Empire to have coffee and wait for Ed, who just returned from the Philippines, but he never showed up.

Mon. found out the homey Dennis passed his RT classes, which means all he has to do is pass his boards next week to become a certified Respiratory Therapist. Good job douche. For that, we went to Friday’s and just met up Ed and Kat. Had a quick dinner, discussed Ed’s trip to Pinas and Kat’s trip to Maui, then me and Dennis went to check on the spot where his classmates were hanging out, Little Rock in Tarzana, but they weren’t there. Cool place though. I would totally hang out there.

Tues. just worked.

Wed., work, then stopped by Mark’s place to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which everyone loved. Funny thing: Dennis’ cousin Junior asked Dennis to check out a bike for him, then Dennis picked it up, and Junior decided to pick it up. But Junior lives in San Jo…which meant he’d have to drive far. No prob, cause he took his brother, who is of course the master of driving from up north to here…Ronald. Man…seen that guy more this past month than I have in like 4 years. So…they drove down, got in at 11:30, the other guys helped put the bike into their van, and then they took off, and now Ronald is back at work talking to us online…crazy.

So…tonight, I think dinner with Toni and Dan and hopefully Dennis. Afterwards, prob meet up the guys. Tomorrow night, J Lounge for Jeff’s birthday. Sat. Working and Trixie and Xander’s reception. Sun…working. Oh man..so much going on.

So yeah, Congrat's Dennis on Passing the RT class. You earned it man. Happy birthdays RB, and by the time i do this, Mark R.

So…Thurs., had dinner with Chris, Jamie and Michelle at old town in our usual hunting ground, Afloat Sushi. Always good stuff there. I got there first (as usual) so I had to wait for them (as usual). From there, we just walked around old town, and actually found this cool spot in front of the Gordon Biersch out there where they have a bunch of trees, where you can write your wishes on. It’s supposed to be some artist’s thing where he’s going to send it to Iceland in tribute to John Lennon. Yeah…sure. I wrote a little profound piece, while the girls wrote one wish for me, and one wish for themselves. I have no idea what Chris wrote. After that, just drinking at GB, then ended the night early.

Friday was pretty cool. Since I had to work on Sat., I took Friday off, so me and Russ ended up watching Step Brothers (which was damned hilarious) and then we picked up a DS for our god Daughter Cassie, since we hadn’t gotten her anything for her birthdays. We are the worst ninongs. Naturally, she was happy that she got it, but not very grateful. After that, we waited at my house for RJ to pick us up. By the time he got there, mike, Elbert, brigido, Alvin, me and Russ were all ready to go. Alvin killed the first part of the drive cause he was on the phone doing business, but from there, we had a blast. We went to the Block, just because it’s been a while since we’ve all been there, had dinner at Alcatraz, where RJ paid for my meal and Alvin did magic for the waitresses, and where Jet also met us up. From there, we stopped by I think the Last Virgin Megastore in Southern Cali. Man, cool stuff there…bought a hat. After that, we watched Pineapple Express (which was also hilarious…good day for good comedies). From there, just went home. It was nice seeing RJ, Alvin and Jet out. It’s weird to see those guys without their SO’s.

Sat. Dude…we got home like at 4 in the morning, and I had to be at work by 8, so I barely slept. And work…was super fun. It was a picnic for LAX employees, and like the last few times, I was just there to promote and have fun. We played hold em with some picnic goers and just chilled out. With like no sleep, I drove back home, then knocked out for a few hours, until I was awakened by…the sounds of bamboos clicking in my living room. That’s right…we had a performance. And you know what? I had a fucking great time doing it. I love hanging with the SG family. They rock. It was fun, especially with our line up: Me, the Marks, Ging, Tracy, Lee, Elizabeth, Sa Sa, the Mejia boys, my sister and Tita C. only wish ET could’ve made it. But yeah…had a great time…too bad I decided to leave early so I could make it to Cabana in time to not have to pay to get in….whoops. Fuck man…I arrived on time and we still had to wait in line, and we were still going to end up paying…so I said fuck it, and bought a bottle. Yeah…that’s how I do it. Place was cool. Ran into a few people I knew, including Chin and Sophia. Good times, Michelle Ac. Is a weird dance partner…Ina is a little bit better, and so is Anjo. Fun because Michelle brought her best friend, who is of course EJ, who was like the only guy my age when I hung out with FASA a few years back. So that was cool. Then there was this bachelorette party next to us, all dressed In school girl outfits, and not many of them looking decent in them. One of them was Joe Lim’s homecoming date, the other was our classmate from St. Gen’s. One of the other girls thought Brigs was cute, so they hung out. After the club, we ended up at Sanam where I ran into Baller Julie, and a bunch of other people I knew. I mostly just talked to Julie and her friend, then got home at like 4:30.

Sun., very interesting day. I woke up, and took my parents and grandma over to Glendale where my sister was going to have this 4-D ultrasound, which shows what the baby’s face looks like, and what they’re doing inside. It was totally weird, yet totally cool. Joe brought his family too, so there was 10 of us crammed in this room checking out these cool pictures. From there, we had lunch at Todai, then I went home and KTFO for a long ass time. At night, just went to some special invite only event at best buy, and me and albert just bought stupid shit. Coffee afterwards.

Mon…we hoped to play basketball, but Dennis’ sister’s car was blocking the way, and she had the keys with her at work, so we were screwed. Ended up just going to E-bar.

Tues. balling, and Anjo’s cousin Chuckie, who went clubbing with us too, played and he was pretty good. My team won.

Wed. farmer’s market where I ran into Jen G. and of all people, and at a natural location, I ran into Krizia, who I haven’t seen since…I think George’s wedding three years ago. Sad, cause we used to be so damn close. I hope she’s going well. I wished her the best and told her I missed her.

So…tonight, nothing planned, but knowing that Russ is off today means we’re most likely going to have coffee. Tomorrow night, Tropic Thunder, then Sat. club LAX for my homegirl Cheryl.
